Elouise: <<I am experiencing a new level in the Lord also; God is teaching me the truth concerning his WORD!!! Daniel this is very powerful stuff, the word of God is not to be taken lightly, it is very important that we ask for guidance and understanding when we read it. I have seen some things that I have never seen or heard before…>>

I can relate to your excitement my sister. The good thing I found is that that feeling can sustain as long as you don’t quit studying. I am amazed each day of my own encounters. Last night, as I tried to catch on with my ‘dailies’, I got another mind blowing… I was studying from the book of Zephaniah. There in chapter 3, the eyes of my understanding were again enlightened.

See verse 9 please. Look it up and then continue to see what I saw below:

Adam had just failed the covenant. Daddy had set in motion a reconciliation process that He was aware should take generations to accomplish. And there they were, planning and building a city, and that tower; with one consent. That it “may reach into heavens”, they thought. For “Behold”, the Lord said, “the people is one, and they have one language; and this they begin to do” (Gen. 11:6). Knowing they would never be able to learn the lesson of disobedience in their self-willed unity, He dispersed them “upon the face of all the earth”. “Until the DAY that I rise to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations…” said the Lord. “For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one consent”, Zephaniah 3:8-9.

“And when the DAY of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place,” Dr. Luke records centuries later in the book of the Acts of the Apostles. “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing wind… and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost” (Act. 2:1-4). Their minds were unified in the one Spirit, as they spoke each one in another’s tongue. Prophecy fulfilled! A pure language was given, and ministered through the power of the one Spirit. Peter calls it “that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;” and buttressed by the prophet Zephaniah, if I may add.

Interesting isn’t it? Amazing how there is always a balance in the Word; by a God who could not lie. “For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation…” (Heb. 6:16-17). Halleluiah!

<<You know me; I can go on and on regarding this subject>>

I can’t blame you my sister. It must needs be so! I burn inside of me often; and I just want to tell it somebody. I can relate to what those disciples felt inside of them as the Lord ministered to them that spring of living water, as they journeyed back to the village from Jerusalem. “Did not our hearts burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the scriptures?” they confessed. Blessed grace!

I know He will talk to me again when I get another chance to study.
